A Christian-based children’s book for ages one to four years. It is an interactive, multi-colored book filled with various animal characters. The story line is to encourage the child and all the various animals to help find a lost dog trapped in a fox hole. The child will learn colors, identify animals and will create in the them the character trait of empathy and compassion. The story is clothed in two real-life experiences of the author and his wife — rescuing a stray dog and cat and the author’s own experience of searching for a lost trapped dog as a young boy. The setting of the story is in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina where they live in a “sawmill cabin” called Rustic Ridge and shared many delightful years with two loving, adorable “man’s and woman’s” best friends — Bacon Boy and Chicken Cat.
