On Sunday, September 21st, 2025, 41 musical performances
and 61 musicians filled the quaint town of Highlands with
music ranging from every genre imaginable. Locals and
tourists alike took to the streets, roaming from venue to venue
to find a musician or sound that suited their ears. Fourteen
hosting venues, ranging from restaurants and wine shops,
outdoor community spaces, real estate headquarters’ and
hotels, and even other non-profits, enthusiastically opened their doors to host Porchfest
performances from 1:00-6:00. Folks of all ages, interests, backgrounds, and beliefs were
united for one beautiful afternoon of singing, dancing, laughing, smiling, and most
importantly, community.
This free-to-attend music festival is a celebration of local and
regional musical artists – talent which is so frequently
overlooked despite being right here in our own communities.
Porchfest is a day for these musicians to put their talents on
display for Highlands and visitors from the surrounding areas
to enjoy. From the marketing campaigns leading up to the event —including press releases,
articles/interviews, social media mentions, and more— to the day of the festival itself,
Porchfest celebrated and highlighted musicians from start to finish. Additionally, it was not
uncommon to see musicians, either before or after their set, roaming around Highlands,
listening to other performers, and making friends and connections along the way.
